Makes 33 donut holes.
1.25 c flour1.5 t baking powder
.25 t. baking soda
.25 t cinnamon
.25 t salt
5 c brown sugar
Sift ingredients together.
2/3 c toasted chopped baconAdd bacon to sifted ingredients
.5 c buttermilk2T.butter melted
1 egg
Whisk ingredients together.
Add to dry ingredients and fry immediately by dropping tablespoons of the batter into 340 ° (clean) oil.
Immediately roll into cinnamon sugar and serve immediately.
¾ c. sugar1t ground cinnamon
Chocolate Sauce
Makes 2 cups.
10 oz. chocolate at least 58%¾ c. boiling water
½ c. corn syrup
1 t. vanilla
Boil water; add to chocolate, corn syrup and vanilla. Stir until chocolate melts.
Serve warm with donuts.
